GLAVOVIC STUDIO SHORTLISTED to design the new Visitor Engagement Center at the historic site of the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Located on a barrier island situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, this 26,000 SF proposed new Visitor Engagement Center addition is to become the focal entry point for the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens visitor experience. The proposed Visitor Engagement Center is defined by its open-ness, transparency, and natural light present in all the spaces throughout the building. A modern architecture of this moment, inspired by and thoroughly embedded in its historic site, extends the important built legacy of the historical Bonnet House Museum and Gardens.
