The Metro Hollywood project is a mixed-used, townhouse/loft/live-work community on the north end of a block that is defined by Adams Street on the north, Dixie Highway on the east, a mid-block residence to the west, and Washington Street on the south. The concept of the project is to develop an urban node that becomes the catalyst for redevelopment of the blocks to the north and south of this area, oriented towards families interested in living near downtown Hollywood, and also focusing on artists, first-time home buyers and residents currently in this area. The architecture recognizes its origins, both in the tradition of modern design in South Florida, as well as its local context of urban and industrial living, along a rail corridor. It celebrates color and light and provides unique landscaped courtyards for a variety of public and private Florida experiences. Metro uses each unit to express the value of the individual as part of an integrated whole. Colorful expression creates uniqueness and identity. The units will have shaded balconies, glass fronts and street-front-walkable access. A range of unit types from Live-Work loft apartments to traditional townhouses with garages, create a rhythmic cadence and strong identity and gateway to the neighborhood. The Metro Hollywood Project recognizes its part in the overall Master Vision for this area. It will be the creative community catalyst for the south west quadrant of the
